The Executive Director of National Primary Healthcare Development Agency Dr. Faisal Shuaib has explained that the collaboration with the Northern Traditional and Religious Leaders committee on primary health care is part of measures to increase information and create more awareness about the safety of the covid-19 vaccine. Shuaib at the 4th Quarter meeting of the Traditional Leaders Committee on Primary Healthcare Delivery in Abuja, revealed that over 8 million Nigerians have been vaccinated with no death record. The NPHCDA boss further used the platform to urged Nigerians to take advantage of the various vaccination centers across the country and take their jabs. The NTLC Chairman and the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji. Samaila Mohammed Mera, earlier in his remarks called on the Presidential Committee on Covid-19 to reflect on past efforts against major Public Health concerns and re-strategies to convert vaccine hesitancy, misuse and the spread of covid19 in Nigeria. The Emir while commending the NPHCDA for setting up the South West Traditional Leaders committee on PHC, further urged them to ensure that vaccination certificates are honestly administered.
