NIMC Upgrades Diaspora Enrollment Platform For Improved Service Delivery.
The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced the successful upgrade of its diaspora enrollment platform, aimed at enhancing service delivery and ensuring efficient management of the National Identification Number (NIN) registration process for Nigerians living abroad.
Dr. Kayode Adegoke, Head of the Commission’s Public Relations Unit, disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja.
According to Adegoke, the upgrade is part of NIMC’s ongoing efforts to provide a more seamless, secure, and effective NIN enrollment experience for the Nigerian diaspora community.
He noted that NIMC’s Diaspora Front-End Partners (FEPs) have been fully onboarded onto the upgraded system and have undergone intensive training to ensure they are well-equipped to manage the new platform effectively.
“All Diaspora FEPs are required to obtain and activate their NIN enrollment licenses on the upgraded platform within 48 hours,” he said. “Diaspora applicants can begin accessing enrollment services from compliant FEPs immediately.”
Adegoke acknowledged the temporary inconvenience caused by the upgrade process and assured that a dedicated service team has been set up to handle any related issues. Nigerians abroad experiencing challenges with enrollment are encouraged to contact the Commission via nimccustomercare@nimc.gov.ng for prompt assistance.
Meanwhile, NIN enrollment continues uninterrupted across all centers in Nigeria. Applicants can locate their nearest enrollment center through the NIMC website at www.nimc.gov.ng.
Additionally, both local and diaspora applicants can update their NIN records via the self-service portal: https://
selfservicemodification.nimc.gov.ng portal.
Dr. Adegoke also urged NIN holders to download the NIMC NINAuth App on either iOS or Google Play available on both iOS and Google Play Store for instant NIN verification, data control, and secure identity authentication services.
