Super Eagles’ official barber, Aiyenuro Joshua also known as T-Jos, has launched an ambitious attempt to break the world record for the longest barbing marathon.
Speaking with journalists at the Moshood Abiola International Stadium’s velodrome in Abuja, T-Jos indicated plans to shave and style for an astonishing 154 hours more than three times the current world record.
Expressing optimism of breaking the world record,T- Jos announced plans to establish a foundation that will set up 1,000 barbing stands across all 36 states.
Earlier in his remarks, the Director-General of the Nigeria Sports Commission, Bukola Olopade, praised T-Jos determination, highlighting how it aligns perfectly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration’s agenda on youth empowerment and national image branding.
On his part, the Nigeria Football Federation General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi, and other stakeholders also assured maximum support to T-jos and encouraged young Nigerians to stay focused and work hard to achieve their dreams.
The world record, held by Ivan Zoot of the United States since 2008, stands at 48 hours.
