The Nigerian government has once again reassured its commitment to ensuring the actualization of priority projects by the West African Power Pool. Speaking at the 34th WAPP Technical And Financial Partners Coordination Meeting, in continuation of the 14th Session of WAPP General Assembly in Abuja, Minister of Power, represented by Minister of State for Power, Goddy Agba, said government will provide the required support to ensure the completion of all ECOWAS and WAPP energy projects currently ongoing across the country. Also, Chairperson of WAPP executive board and managing director of Transmission Company of Nigeria, Usman Mohammed, among other speakers, expressed the need to address key issues, that may affect their goal to realize a Regional power grid. The theme of the the 14th Session of WAPP General Assembly is: “ECOWAS Regional Electricity Market, Today and Future Opportunities”. #END!!!
