The issue of climate change reflects the variations in the average daily weather conditions such as temperature, humidity, rainfall and sunshine of a location over an extended period. In Nigeria, climate change has negatively affected human lives and threat to the ecosystem and economic growth in sectors such as agriculture, fishery and forestry which are dependent on climate conditions. He added that the ministry with support from the United Nations Development Programme is developing the Investment and Financial Flow (I&FF) for the purposes of conducting an assessment to determine the costs of climate change measures and potential sources of investment funds. The Minister further commended the youth population for taking it upon themselves to promote climate actions. The ceremony had in attendance stakeholders who on their remarks stressed on the importance of environmental safety as a necessary tool to the growth and development of the Nigerian economy and the wellbeing of the people.
