NECO Releases 2025 BECE Results.
The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
In a statement issued to newsmen in Abuja, Azeez Sani, Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, disclosed that the examination, which commenced on May 12, 2025, was successfully concluded on May 23, 2025.
According to Sani, a total of 179,201 candidates registered for the examination in 12 subjects.
He noted that the results were released following the successful conclusion of the 2025 BECE Award Committee meeting held at NECO’s headquarters in Minna.
During the meeting, the Chairperson of the Award Committee, Dr. (Mrs.) Folake Olatunji-David, Director of Basic Education at the Federal Ministry of Education, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the examination and the processes leading to the release of the results.
The Award Committee meeting was also attended by secondary school principals from across the country as well as NECO management officials.
Meanwhile, the committee has approved the date and timetable for the 2925 BECE re-sit examination which has been scheduled to take place on July 23 and 24 2025, for Mathematics and English Studies respectively, Sani added.
