The Nigerian Military has declared a 3 days prayer in honour of late Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Ibrahim Attahiru and 10 other personnel who died in the ill fated plane crash in Kaduna on Friday, May 21st 2021. Speaking at the sideline of the prayer session held a the Staff flag house Niger barracks, Abuja, the Chief of Defence Staff General Lucky Irabor charged the Armed forces to remain unrented in the fight against insecurity He assured Nigerians that the unfortunate incident will not in any way affect the ongoing onslaught against terrorists and other criminal elements in the country. On his part, the director Islamic Affairs of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Shehu Mustapha says the prayer session was convened to seek Allah’s forgiveness on behalf of the late COAS and his entourage. The remains of the late COAS and 10 other officers were laid to rest on Saturday May 22nd, 2021at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja.
