Kano State Government Partners BrandEscort to Host ‘Cycling Kano 2025’ on December 20
The Kano State Government has announced a strategic partnership with BrandEscort Communications, a leading brand and event marketing company, to host Cycling Kano 2025 a landmark sporting event designed to promote healthy living, tourism, and youth engagement in the state.
Scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025, the event will unite professional cyclists, fitness enthusiasts, and sports lovers from across Nigeria. The race is expected to begin at the iconic Sani Abacha Stadium and will showcase Kano’s rich cultural heritage, economic potential, and renowned hospitality.
Speaking recently in Kano, the Special Adviser on Youth and Sports Development, Sani Musa Danja, said the annual event organized by the State Government in collaboration with BrandEscort Communications is part of an ongoing effort to encourage active lifestyles among diverse groups, including cycling enthusiasts, corporate professionals, and the youth.
“This year’s event, themed ‘Health and Wellness’, aims to drive national conversations around both mental and physical health,” Danja noted.
He highlighted the broader goals of Cycling Kano 2025, including promoting healthy competition among youth and corporate organizations, discovering new cycling talents, and elevating the sport’s status across the country.
“We believe this initiative presents a unique opportunity for brands to demonstrate their commitment to societal well-being. By supporting the event, they align with the values of health, wellness, and community development,” he said.
Danja also noted that the Kano State Ministry of Youth and Sports will play a central role in coordinating logistics, securing the race route, mobilizing government agencies, and ensuring funding. The Ministry will also collaborate with the Kano State Cycling Association and other stakeholders to ensure a successful event.
“With the full support of the Kano State Government and our partners, this event is set to make a strong statement on the importance of public health and sports development in our state,” he affirmed.
Also speaking, Bamidele Adeleye, Managing Director of BrandEscort Communications, expressed appreciation to the Kano State Government for the opportunity to collaborate, noting that the event could serve as a national model for public-private partnerships in sports.
