The Defence headquarters says the armed forces is doing everything possible to ensure the safe rescue of the recently abducted students of Government Science Secondary Kankara, Katsina state. Over 300 school boys of Government Science Secondary School Kankara were on Friday night 11th December 2020 abducted by Gunmen. Speaking at its weekly press conference in Abuja, the Coordinator Defence Media Operations, Major General John Enenche said kinetic actions are on going to ensure a successful rescue operations. Enenche further explained reasons why the abduction was successful. The Defence spokesman was however quick to clarified that no negotiation is ongoing between the government and the abductors. Available information from the Defence Authorities indicates that the abducted boys are all safe.
