JAMB Moves to Dismiss 3 Staff Over Examination Portal Fraud

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has announced plans to dismiss three of its staff for allegedly selling unauthorised access to the Board’s examination portal.

JAMB Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede who made the disclosure at a news conference in Abuja also revealed that two additional staff members in Kaduna and Katsina states are currently under investigation.

According to Oloyede, ongoing investigations into fraudulent activities surrounding the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, registration have uncovered organised syndicates that deploy artificial intelligence tools to impersonate officials and defraud unsuspecting candidates

The Registrar also expressed concern over the growing trend of underage registration, warning that many such cases are linked to examination malpractice networks.

Oloyede reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to sanitising the UTME process,vowing to eliminate all forms of examination malpractice and ensure that those found culpable are brought to justice.
