IST Resolves Investment Cases Worth ₦17bn in 2023
Investment and Securities Tribunal (IST) has resolved investment cases worth over one trillion naira since its full commencement in 2003.
The tribunal with same status with the appeal court was created to boost investors’ confidence in the nation’s capital market.
Speaking to the Finance Correspondent Association of Nigeria, FICAN at a breakfast meeting in Abuja, the IST Chairman, Amos Azi, said over seventeen-billion-naira worth of investment cases was settled through the tribunal’s intervention in 2023 alone.
Some management staff of the Investment and Security Tribunal, in their presentation said the court has not only sanitised the Nigerian capital market but enabled transactions for the socio-economic growth and development of the country.
The Chairman, Finance Correspondents Association of Nigeria, FICAN, Chief Bassey Udo said, the association will give IST management team the necessary support to succeed.
