Interior Ministry Launches Weekly Performance Mgt. system,Demands Compliance.
The Permanent Secretary, ministry of Interior, Dr. Magdalene Ajani has charged directors in the ministry to embrace the Performance Management system (PMS) for efficient service delivery and enhanced productivity.
Dr. Ajani made this known at the performance contract signing ceremony and launching of the performance management system (PMS) in Abuja.
Stating that the initiative underpins the ministry commitment to measurable results driven service that aligns with President Tinubu renewed hope agenda, the permanent secretary said it will further serve as a departmental roadmap that will help the Ministry track its performance and contribute to the nation’s Economic Development.
Dr Ajani further challenged the participants to rededicate themselves to the ideals of the PMS and also accountable in the delivery of their departmental responsibilities. Earlier in her remarks, the director of planning, research and statistics, Dr. Mercy Ilori advocated the need to adopt the PMS for quality service delivery of the ministry’s mandate.
Other highlights of the ceremony include the directive from the office of the Head of the civil service of the federation dedicating Thursdays of every week as Performance Management System Day (PMS Day).
