Information from the Defence Headquarters indicates that the Armed forces has renewed it’s vigour in tackling the nation’s security concerns. This is as the military high command says it will continue to reorganize and improve it’s strategies in partnership with relevant stakeholders to tackle the menace of insecurity across the country. Acting Director, Defence Media Operations, Brigadier General Bernard Onyeuko disclosed this while giving a general update on the Armed forces operational activities form 1st – 20th May, 2021 at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja. He said the Operational efforts of the Armed forces is aimed at ensuring peace and normalcy is restored to all troubled zones. In the period under review, Gen. Onyeuko revealed that the onslaught executed by the Armed forces against terrorist, armed bandits, economic saboteurs has yielded sustainable results. He was however Optimistic that ongoing onslaught by the armed forces and other security Agencies will restore sanity in the north east zone. While commending the Armed forces for their resilience and commitment, the Military high command urged the General public to support their efforts by providing credible and timely information that will facilitate proactive engagements to address the threats.
