IGP Charges Newly Promoted Officers To Uphold Ethical Standards

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has charged sixteen newly promoted senior officers to uphold the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in a bid to redefine policing in Nigeria.

Speaking during the decoration ceremony held at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, the IGP described the promotion exercise as transparent, merit-based, and conducted in strict conformity with established standards.

Egbetokun congratulated the officers for their dedication and commitment to duty, urging them to demonstrate professionalism and embrace intelligence-led policing.

The promotion exercise includes one Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG), four Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs), and eleven Commissioners of Police (CPs), among others.
