As the race for the September 21 Edo State governorship election gathers momentum, a group known as Friends of Senator Monday Okpebholo, picked an expression of interest and nomination form for the lawmaker.
Members of the group who troop in their numbers to the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Headquarters in Abuja said the choice of the Senator representing Edo Central in the 10th National Assembly was borne out of his style of leadership.
The coordinator, Musa Ikhilor said the group has so far contributed over N50 million to support their candidate’s bid.
The group however, urged the ruling party to pick the lawmaker as its only flag bearer in the forthcoming poll.
