The Federal Government has allay fears of insecurity challenges, urging foreign investors to take advantage of the nations vast investment opportunities.Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, made the call while declaring open a 4 day Technical Conference of the Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrators (CATA) in Abuja.
Mustapha said, the Buhari led Administration has initiated policies aimed at creating a conducive environment for businesses to strife despite the global socio economic challenges.
Some of the actions identified by the SGF includes reviews on tax policies and legislation targeted at encouraging foreign investment in nigeria. Earlier in her remarks, the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed stressed on the need for digitalization and harmonization of tax systems especially as the world was yet to recover from the negative impact of COVID 19.
Meanwhile, the President of CATA and the Executive Chairman Federal Inland Revenue Service Muhammad Nami, and other speakers took turns to reflect on the significance of the event.
