The Federal Government has begun the review of Nigeria’s trade policy that would drive the growth of the Small and Medium Enterprises and other businesses in the country. Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Richard Adebayo who disclosed this at a media briefing on the Nigeria @60 Celebration said the reviewed policy would hopefully be launched this year, after receiving the approval of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), He said SMEs contribute about 48% to the nation’s Gross Domestic Product. On the celebration of Nigeria@60, the Minister said President Muhammadu Buhari directed that the celebration should be made a year long Some stakeholders also spoke on the year long celebration. As part of the commemoration, a website has been created for Nigerians to nominate intended awardees as 60 Nigerians would be awarded. There will also be an exhibition Of Made in Nigeria products and live performance of cultural troupes on the 15-19, June, 2021 at Eagle Square, Abuja.
