Just last month after his appointment as the minister of Livestock Development, Alhaji Idi Muktar Maiha has set the ball rolling on initiatives to drive the sector to meet the yearnings of Nigerians.
At a stakeholders group discussion on sustainable livestock development in Nigeria Organised by the ministry in Abuja, the minister said top among the key mandate of the ministry is to end the era of herders farmers conflict among other challenges in the livestock sector.
Alhaji Maiha who assured that the days of lamentation is over promised to engage relevant stakeholders to achieve the set target of the ministry.
Some of the stakeholders in their remarks commended president Tinubu for the creation of the ministry, insisting that it help to address the challenges in the livestock Sector.
Key among expectations of the ministry is to grow and transform the livestock sector into a sustainable, resilient, and inclusive ecosystem for the private sector actors to thrive.
