The Nigerian film Industry popularly known as Nollywood is globally recognised as the second largest film producers in the world The industry contributes over 2.3 percent to the nation’s Gross Domestic Product.(GDP) This no doubt may not be far from reasons why it is one of the priority sector identify in the economic recovery and growth plan of the federal government with a planned 1 billion dollars in export revenue by 2020. For critical stakeholders like the Association Of Movie Producers, the industry can only be more relevant with the quality of movies produced. At an interactive session with news men in Abuja,president of the Association, Peace Anyiam- Osigwe restated the commitment of the body to change the narrative in the industry and ensure movies henceforth project the positive age of the Nigerian people and culture.
