FCT Police Commissioner Strengthens Ties with Security Agencies, Reaffirms Commitment To Collaboration.
The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), CP Miller G. Dantawaye, has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration and intelligence sharing among security agencies in the nation’s capital.
According to a statement signed by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, and made available to CNA, the Police Commissioner, as part of his ongoing familiarization tour, paid courtesy visits on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, to key security formations in Abuja.
The formations visited included the Guards Brigade, Naval Base Abuja, 053 NAF Camp, and the FCT Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
During the visits, CP Dantawaye met with the Commander, Guards Brigade, Brigadier General Adebisi Onasanya; Commander, Naval Base Abuja, Commodore O.E. Oladipo; Commander, 053 NAF Camp, Group Captain H.S. Ibrahim; and the Commandant, NSCDC FCT Command, Dr. Olusola Odumosu.
According to the statement, the engagements were aimed at deepening joint operational strategies, enhancing intelligence sharing, and consolidating security coordination to ensure the safety of residents across the Federal Capital Territory.
CP Dantawaye emphasized that effective policing and internal security depend on unity of purpose and seamless collaboration among all security stakeholders. He commended the existing synergy among the agencies and urged sustained cooperation in addressing emerging security threats.
In their separate responses, the commanders pledged continued support for the Nigeria Police Force and reaffirmed their commitment to joint efforts in maintaining peace and stability within the FCT.
The visits concluded with renewed assurances of collaboration, mutual respect, and coordinated action among the security formations.
