FCT Police Arrest Suspects For Armed Robbery, Drug Trafficking And Vehicle Theft.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested several suspects involved in armed robbery, drug trafficking, and vehicle theft in a series of coordinated, intelligence led operations across Abuja.

According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, made available to Channel Network Afrique, the operations were carried out between October 9 and 18, 2025, by the Command’s Scorpion Squad in collaboration with operatives from the Kubwa, Life Camp, and Mabushi Divisions.

Among those arrested are Manaseh Emmanuel (36), Dogora Ibrahim (21), and Ibrahim Idamusa (40), alleged members of a notorious armed robbery gang led by one Ibrahim Yakubu, a.k.a. “Ycome,” who is currently in custody at the Kuje Correctional Centre.

In a separate operation, officers from the Life Camp Division apprehended Umar Abubakar, Iliyasu Ibrahim, Usman Ibrahim, and Alkasim Abubakar for theft. Investigations revealed that the suspects are part of a 10-man robbery syndicate responsible for violent attacks in the Kubwa, Life Camp, and Mpape areas.

In a related development, the Mabushi Division arrested Bello Mohd Tambuwal for allegedly stealing a 2019 Toyota Corolla, while Paul Onogwu was intercepted with 15 bags of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis sativa.

Exhibits recovered during the operations include: A Toyota Land Cruiser, 2019 Toyota Corolla (Chassis No: JTNK4RBE1K3054902)
A Toyota Camry (Registration No: KRD 391 JF),cutlass, sword, and jackknife
and 15 bags of suspected cannabis

Commissioner of Police, CP Dantawaye Miller, commended the officers for their professionalism and effectiveness. He urged divisional heads to maintain the momentum in the fight against criminal elements and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to ridding the FCT of crime and ensuring the safety of residents.
