Expo 2020 Dubai To Generate $23b, Nigeria,191 Countries To Benefit From Windfall

Statistic revealed that the United Arab Emirate is the largest trade partner of Nigeria in the Middle East Region accounting for about thirty five percent of the biggest black nation’s total trade with the region.

The United Arab Emirate is also projected to generate about twenty three billion United States dollars in the forthcoming “EXPO 2020 Dubai” which is scheduled to commence on the 1st of October this year in the country.

Speaking to a news conference at the Nigeria’s Capital City, Abuja on the expectations ahead of the Expo,the Minister of State, Industry, Trade and Investment, Mariam Katagum said the event will have significant impact on the host nation as well as on the one hundred and ninety two participating countries including Nigeria.

The United Arab Emirate’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Fahad Al- Taffaq said aside the business benefits of the Expo, Dubai has put in place measures to mitigate the outbreak of Covid-19 as a result of influx participants to the event.

Some members of the “Expo 2020 Dubai” also spoke on their expectations.

The theme for the six months Expo is “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”.
