Chinese Ambassador’s Cup 2025: Wushu Championship To Boost Ties – Jianxing

All is now set for the 2025 edition of the Chinese Ambassador’s Cup martial art, Wushu Championship in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The Wushu tournament also known as the China, Nigeria Friendship Cup is an annual event, jointly organised by the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria and the National Sports Commission.

Addressing a news conference, the Director, China Cultural Centre in Nigeria, Yang Jianxing, said the championship is a unifying factor as well as a symbol of shared values, discipline, helping the weak and mutual respect.

Mr. Jianxing also stressed that the Wushu competition connotes the two countries’ robust existing bilateral relationship and partnership in diverse area.

On his part, the President, Kickboxing Federation of Nigeria, Mykel Eneduwa who doubled as the Patron of the FCT Wushu Association said the championship is part of measures put in place for the promotion of sportsmanship, cultural understanding, and development of martial arts in the country.

The three-day championship scheduled for October 29 to 31 at the Velodrome of the National Stadium in the nation’s capital will feature athletes from the 36 states and the FCT.
