The Arewa Youth for Peaceful Coexistence have expressed reservations over what it termed “unprovoked and baseless attacks on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike by an activist, Deji Adeyanju.
The leadership of the Arewa at a news conference in Abuja said the personality attack, insults and name calling was uncalled for especially from a lawyer who should be a model of civility and adherence to facts.
According to the group, the ongoing urban renewal efforts in the Federal Capital Territory is a testament of the good work of the Minister as it is guided by the Abuja master plan, first developed and approved by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
The youth group however, called on stakeholders to support the FCT Minister’s efforts in restoring order and development in the nation’s capital.
