Anambra Guber Race: Aspirants Market Selves As APC Adopts Indirect Primary.

As the aspiration of who to pick the sole ticket of the All Progressives Congress heightens ahead of the November 8, Anambra State Governorship, some aspirants have declared themselves to be the best to marshal the affairs of the state.

The latest among the aspirants trooping the APC National Secretariat in Abuja to speak is Sir Paul Chukwuma who is a former member of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling party.

Addressing news men shortly after he was screened by the Anambra National Gubernatorial Screening Committee, the aspirant described the screening process as satisfactory, emphasizing his preparedness and commitment to the party.

Some aspirants also spoke on their plans for the state. Meanwhile, the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress has officially adopted an indirect primary method to pick its candidate for the forthcoming Anambra governorship election.

The APC National Secretary, Surajudeen Ajibola Bashiru announced this at a news conference following the NWC meeting at the party’s national headquarters.

He clarified that previous announcements suggesting a direct primary was incorrect, as no official decision was reached before the meeting.

Bashiru stated that the choice of an indirect primary was thoroughly deliberated to ensure a more inclusive and organized approach.

Some NWC members in attendance at the briefing include APC National Leader for Persons With Disabilities, Tolu Bankole, Youth Leader, Dayo Israel and Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Duro Meseko, as well as Deputy National Women Leader Zainab Ibrahim, and the National Financial Secretary.
