The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has dismissed claims of conspiracy against any region of Nigeria as insinuated by a cross section of Nigerians.
JAMB Registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede gave the indication at a meeting with Chief External Examiners, Civil Society Organisations as well as some Stakeholders from Nigerian tertiary institutions held at the JAMB headquarters in Abuja,
Oloyede condemned the insinuations indicating that they are diversionary.
The JAMB boss also explained that the emotional breakdown he experienced while owning up to the glitches that trailed the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) was not a sign of weakness.
He further announced incentives initiated by the board for candidates that missed the resit examination.
Recall that the results of the 2025 UTME as announced by JAMB indicates that out of the 1.9 million candidates who took the examination, over 1.5 million reportedly scored below 200 out of the maximum 400 marks, a development raised concerns across the education sector.
End.
