The Independent media and Policy Initiative has commended the bold economic reforms of President Tinubu’s administration saying it is gradually yielding the desired results.
IMPI Chairman, Omoniyi Akinsiju gave the indication at a news conference in Abuja.
Akinsiju who was quick to indicate the initial hardship faced by Nigerians over the implementation of the twin policies of petroleum subsidy removal and harmonization of the foreign exchange multiple windows said that the short term pain is fast giving way to long term gains.
The Group further pointed to the surge in downstream oil sector revenue, gains in the non-oil exports and slide in unemployment rate as some of the effects of the bold reforms of the present administration.
Akinsiju dismissed claims of non performance by opposition politicians attributing the gestures as cheap political blackmail.
