The Federal Government says it is committed to make Research and Innovation the driver of the nations economy and industrialization .
Minister of Education, Dr Morufu Alausa gave the indication while declaring open the maiden Tertiary Education Trust Fund TETFund National Research Fair and Exhibition in Abuja.
He said the research fair is aligned to the present administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda on domesticating the local Research Results for the composite objective of creating jobs, generation of wealth and strengthening of the economy.
Earlier, the minister of Budget and National Planning, Atiku Bagudu on his remarks commended TETFund for well thought-out initiative emphasising the role of research and innovation in the technological advancement of the nation.
For the Executive Secretary of TETFund, Arc Sonny Echono, the fair was organized as part of efforts to ensure outputs of research and innovation supports national development.
The 5 day TETFund National Research fair and exhibition features the latest innovations and groundbreaking research from tertiary institutions and other research institutions from across the country.
