Sanusi’s Dethronement: CUPP Condemns Action Of Kano State Government

The dethronement and banishment of former Emir of Kano, Mohammad Sanusi has continued to attract reactions from Nigerians. Speaking on the development at a news conference in Abuja, the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) condemned the act describing as unconstitutional and an assault on the fundamental rights of the disposed traditional ruler as guaranteed in the 1999 constitution. According to the coalition spokesperson, Ikenga Ugochinyere the Emir was not given right to be heared which renders the action of the Kano state executive council illegal.
