Police, NDLEA Collaborate to Tackle substance Abuse.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency ( NDLEA) says over 2 million kilos of drugs worth 80 billion naira have been intercepted in the last 3 months. NDLEA Chairman, Brig Gen. Mohammed Baba Marwa(rtd) gave the indication during a courtesy visit by the Acting Inspector General of Police Usman Alkali Baba to the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja. He called for more collaboration between the Agency and the Police Force saying the synergy will help sanitise and regulate the use of illicit drugs in the country. In his remarks, the inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Ahmed assured of the support of the police in enforcement of the NDLEA mandate especially in drug control and use. Other highlights of the visit includes the need to handover seized drugß from suspects to the Police, NDLEA Collaborate to Tackle substance Abuse.
