Police Arrest 9 Suspects Over Gunrunning, Kidnapping And Drug Trafficking.

The Nigeria Police Force has arrested nine suspects linked to several crimes, including gunrunning, drug trafficking, kidnapping, and other criminal activities.

Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin who disclosed this at the Force Intelligence Department Headquarters in Abuja, said they were arrested during coordinated operations carried out by police personnel across different parts of the country.

Hundeyin explained that among those arrested is a notorious gunrunner, Adamu Babangida, who was apprehended by operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Response Team in Plateau State.

The spokesman also recounted how two other notorious arms suppliers, John Magah and Ishaya Stephen involved in arms trafficking for over five years and operating around Adamawa State and the Cameroon border were arrested.

The Force spokesman further disclosed that the operations led to the recovery of several dangerous firearms and illicit drugs.

Hundeyin noted that the successful arrests are a testament to the relentless efforts of the Nigeria Police Force in the fight against crime and its commitment to ensuring public safety and national security.
