Police Arrest 39 Suspects For Robbery, Cyber Crimes,Unlawful Possession Of Firearms

A total of 39 suspects were paraded by the Nigeria police Force on prima facie cases that includes, armed robbery, kidnappings, trafficking in weapons and other serious crimes. According to the Force Public Relation Officer CP Frank Mba, the suspects were arrested by the members of the Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB) and Special Tactical Squad (STS ) of the Nigerian police across the Country. Notoble among the cases is the arrest of one Yahaya Zakari a member of a cybercrime syndicate that specializes in stealing mobile phones of innocent citizens, and using their SIM cards to gain access to their bank accounts to carry out unauthorized financial transactions. Also among those paraded is a four-man notorious trans-border arms smuggling syndicate in Cross River State. All the suspects according to Mba will be charged to court on completion of investigations. Some of the recovered items includes, 13 Ak 47 rifles, 2 RPG,750 AK 47 live ammunitions, 58 raps of explosives, 157 new sim packs among others.
