NSCDC FCT Command Trains 200 Personnel On Use Of Fire Arms

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, FCT Command, has concluded a training programme for 200 personnel in basic arms handling, bring the total number of trained personnel to 472.

The training is part of the command’s efforts to enhance operational readiness and capacity to respond to security challenges in the FCT.

Speaking at the occasion, the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, represented by the head of internal security FCTA, Olubiyi Sunday calls for enhance security of national assets in the federal capital territory.


On his part, the NSCDC, FCT Commandant, Olusola Odumosu emphasised the importance of discipline and professionalism in the use of arms noting that the rifle was not merely a weapon but responsibility.


He said the training is expected to improve the command’s response to security challenges in the FCT.

The occasion also witnessed the launching of an Emergency Response Team to enhance the command’s capabilities.
