The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has express deep concern over the recent statements by the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump threatening military action against Nigeria over alleged genocide against Christians.
The National Coordinator, CNG Comrade Jamilu Charanchi, who disclosed this at a news conference in Abuja, said, the statement distorts Nigeria’s complex security realities by fueling division that millions are struggling to overcome.
Charanchi, noted that there is a national security crisis affecting all Nigerian Christians, Muslims and others alike, adding that, the country welcomes dialogue based on facts not blackmail.
He however, call on the Federal Government to take decisive action to end the insecurity in the North and other parts of the country.
The Coalition further, cautioned that, if Nigeria fails to assert control over its narrative and territory, the Country risk sliding into chaos that will engulf not only the nation but the entire sahel region.
