NIMC Signs Employee Performance Management System Contract To Boost Accountability And Efficiency.

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) marked a significant milestone with the formal signing of the Employee Performance Management System (EPMS) contract at its Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.

The signing ceremony is a major step under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s (GCFR) Renewed Hope Agenda, underscoring the Federal Government’s commitment to enhancing transparency, accountability, and efficiency in public service delivery.

The event was attended by NIMC’s Director-General and Chief Executive Officer, Engr. (Dr.) Abisoye Coker-Odusote, alongside departmental and unit heads, as well as representatives from Triple Edge Consult, the implementing partner. The gathering highlighted NIMC’s dedication to institutional excellence and a performance-driven leadership culture.

In her welcome address, Mrs. Rhoda Jackden, Head of Human Capital Management, emphasized the EPMS’s role in aligning organisational objectives with individual performance targets. She described the system as a vital tool for boosting productivity and reinforcing accountability across the Commission.

Speaking for Triple Edge Consult, Team Lead Barrister Olusegun Adekunle highlighted the system’s strategic importance, noting that it establishes transparent and measurable performance metrics for government agencies. He added that the EPMS will enable NIMC to monitor progress effectively, meet targets, and deliver improved services to Nigerians.

The EPMS is closely aligned with NIMC’s mandate, introducing a structured framework for performance measurement, monitoring, and evaluation. With clear indicators and metrics, the system aims to foster accountability and enhance service delivery throughout the Commission.

Engr. (Dr.) Coker-Odusote praised the initiative and called for renewed commitment from all staff to ensure successful implementation. She urged departmental and unit heads to adopt the performance indicators fully, stressing that this alignment is critical to achieving the goals of the Renewed Hope Agenda. She also revealed that a departmental cascade process has begun to align all units with the EPMS framework.

The event concluded with the formal signing of the EPMS contract by the DG/CEO, departmental heads, and unit representatives — marking a pivotal moment in NIMC’s institutional development and operational transformation.

This achievement heralds a new era of performance-driven culture at NIMC, laying a solid foundation for enhanced efficiency, transparency, and service excellence across the Commission.
