The Nigerian Export Promotion Council, NEPC says Nigeria’s non-oil export sector generated about one point eight billion dollars in revenue in the first quarter of 2025.
NEPC Executive Director, Nonye Ayeni disclosed this at a news conference in Abuja.
She said the 24.75% surge in 2025 is higher than over one point four billion dollars reported in same period of thee preceding year.
She said, a total of one hundred and ninety seven distinct products were exported in the first quarter of 2025 against one hundred and sixty two products in of same period in 2024.
She however, noted that top commodity in terms of total non-oil export, accounting for 45.02% was cocoa beans while urea fertilizer is second at 19.32% and cashew nuts third with 5.81% of total exports.
