Nigeria, US Collaborate To Boost Livestock Sector

The United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Richard Mills Jr has disclosed plans by the US to support the nations livestock sector.

The Envoy made the announcement at a courtesy visit to the Minister of Livestock Development, Idi Maiha, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abuja. Ambassador Mills, Jr., highlighted the United States’ commitment to building commercial trade relationships between Nigerian livestock producers and U.S. food exporters.

In his remarks, the Minister of Livestock Development, Idi Maiha welcomed the initiative saying it will help broaden the international trade enabling Nigerian dairy and livestock products to enter the international market.

The minister further solicited the support of the US in conducting a livestock census.

Maiha reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s vision to transform the Livestock sector into a globally competitive and sustainable industry.
