Nigeria Non-Oil Exports Surge, Records $3.22b In 1st Half Of 2025 – NEPC

Nigeria non-oil product exports earnings in the first half of 2025 have been valued at three point two-two five billion United States dollars.

The Executive Director, Nigerian Export Promotion Council, NEPC, Nonye Ayeni disclosed this at a news conference in Abuja organised to present the first half-year progress report on the non-oil export performance for the year 2025.

She said, the earnings from the exported products increased by nineteen-point five nine percent, eclipsing the sum of two point seven billion United States dollars recorded for the first half of the year 2024.

The NEPC boss said, the volume of exported products also increased to four point zero four million metric tonnes compared to three point eight three million metric tonnes recorded at the same period of the preceding year.

She also spoke on how the African Continental Free Trade Area, (AfCFTA) provided expanded market access and tariff relief for Nigerian exporters and products among other achievements.

The NEPC Executive Director however, noted that despite some bottlenecks, two hundred and thirty-six different products were exported in the period under review, representing an increase of sixteen-point eight three percent compared to the two hundred and two distinct products exported in the first half of 2024.
