Poor Access to improved water and sanitation in Nigeria remains a major contributing factor of high morbidity and mortality rates among children under 5. As part of effort to address the challenge, president Muhammadu Buhari on November 8,2018 declared a national emergency in the water, sanitation and hygiene sector. According to the minister of Water Resources, Sulieman Adamu at a two day workshop for the implementation of the National action plan for the revitalisation of the wash sector in abuja, the Interventions are already yielding the desired results.
