NEPC To Support First Talent Merging, Employment App With Grant – Yakusak

A 2022 Labour Force Report, published by the National Bureau of Statistics revealed that about twenty-three point two million Nigerians are currently unemployed.

To address this challenge, a digital interactive platform known as YARD, that makes use of artificial intelligence to merge talent with marketing opportunities for easy employment was launched in Abuja.

The application, first of its kind in the country has the unique feature of connecting job seekers and employers.

Speaking at the official launching, the Executive Director, Nigerian Export Promotion Council, NEPC, Ezra Yakusak said the digital innovation will have significant transformational impact on the growth of the nation’s economy.

Represented by the Deputy Director, National Export Office, Andy Ambikputen, the NEPC boss said the Council has made grant available for Technology Start-Ups under the Export Expansion Programme.

The co-founders of the digital talent merging and employment platform spoke on what motivated them into carrying out the innovation.

It is a well known fact that, as trade improves economic efficiency by contributing to poverty reduction, Information and Communication Technology, ICT is also key in promoting economic and social development nations.
