The National Examinations Council (NECO) has alerted the public of fake online portals for the recruitment of Examination Supervisors.
According to a statement issued by the Acting Director, Information and Public Relations,Azeez Sani, fake portals had requested interested members of the public to log on with the details of their academic credentials after making some payments.
NECO wishes to inform the public that the Council does not request for any payment from teachers applying to serve as examination supervisors in the forthcoming 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal.
It should be noted that in line with the recommendations of the Ministerial Committee on the Improvement of Quality of Examination in Nigeria, and in a bid to strengthen Examination Supervision Mechanism, NECO has transitioned from the Analogue mode of Recruitment of Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors to a fully Electronic process.
Consequently, all qualified pensionable teachers on Grade Level 12 and above who are not less than 30 years of age and are interested in serving as supervisor in the 2026 SSCE Internal, should apply on NECO Website: https://supervisor.neco.gov.ng.
Sani said the supervisor recruitment on NECO website is fully automated and no third party is required.
This new recruitment system will prevent fraud in the recruitment of supervisors, prevent examination malpractice and enhance fairness and credibility in the recruitment process.
No fewer than 22,000 supervisors will be recruited by the Council to ensure a seamless conduct of the 2026 SSCE Internal which is scheduled to commence on 15th June, 2026.
