Navy Finance College Gets Infrastructure Pass Mark From Training Command Boss

The Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command, Rear Admiral Ebiobowei Abraham Zipele, has conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Nigerian Navy College of Accounts and Finance.

​The visit, which is part of a broader familiarization tour of colleges and units under his jurisdiction, aimed to assess the operational readiness, infrastructural status, and training standards of the premier naval finance institution.

Upon arrival, the FOC was received by the Commandant of the College, Commodore Babatunde Quadri, and the institution’s management team.

​During the tour, Rear Admiral Zipele undertook a detailed inspection of the College’s physical assets. Key areas visited included the lecture halls, student accommodation blocks, the ratings’ arrival hall, the parade ground, and the swimming pool.

​Significantly, the FOC assessed the newly completed 30-man student officers’ accommodation and the ongoing construction of senior rates’ quarters.

He also visited the site of the proposed Nigerian Navy Hospital Okpala, a project expected to bolster healthcare delivery for naval personnel and the host community.

​Addressing the officers and ratings, Rear Admiral Zipele commended the Commandant and the staff for their commitment to maintaining a high standard of discipline and a conducive academic environment.

He expressed satisfaction with the level of maintenance of existing structures and the pace of new developments.

​”Discipline and professionalism remain the bedrock of our training mandate,” the FOC stated. He further reassured the College of the Command’s unwavering support in overcoming operational challenges to ensure the Navy continues to produce highly skilled finance personnel.

​The visit concluded with the FOC urging personnel to remain dedicated to the service, emphasizing that high training standards are essential to the overall efficiency of the Nigerian Navy.
