Ahead of the National Convention of the All Progressive Congress APC, youths under the umbrella of Progressive Youth Movement are calling for reform in the party structure that will ensure that leadership responsibility is passed to the youths. Addressing a news conference in Abuja, Spokesperson of the group, Zahrah Audu kicked against the adoption of consensus candidacy, saying it is undemocratic. She further disclosed plans by the movement to embark on zonal town hall meetings as part of effort to entrench youth leadership from the ward to national level of the party. The need to vote for candidates below the age of fifty at the forthcoming congress of the ruling party was further emphasized by the Group. The Movement also called for registration of more youths into the APC.
