The National Association of Nigerian Students has dismissed factionalisation claims within its ranks, insisting on the comrade Olushola Ladoja leadership .
The Student body also condemned the attempt to polarize its structures by one Atiku Issah who they claimed is being sponsored by opposition politicians.
Addressing a news conference on recent development as it affects the Association in Abuja, the Chairman, Forum of Zonal Coordinators Forum of NANs, Comrade Daniel Egga criticised politicians who use the students movement as a special purpose vehicle to achieve their selfish interests citing the recent allegations against Seyi Tinubu and other top government officials.
Egga further dismissed claims by Atiku Issah on the NANS leadership.
The students also commended the president Tinubu led government for various reforms and policies aimed at repositioning the nations tertiary institutions.
They vowed to resist plans to pluralize the students movement insisting on supporting the efforts of government to tackle the challenges in the education sector.
