There is no doubt that the Nigrian Air Force since it’s establishment in 1964 has grown into a formidable and respected force within the African continent and beyond.
This is as the Nigerian Airforce continues to make significant contributions and record successes in areas of internal security, humanitarian and peace keeping operations as well as restore and sustain the democracy on the African Continent.
To mark it’s 58years Anniversary and celebrate the achievements recorded thus far, the Nigerian Airforce has lined up series of activities to enlighten the citizens of the NAF’s efforts in the fight against insurgency, terrorism and other forms of criminality within the Country.
Addressing a Press Conference at the NAF headquarters in Abuja, the Chairman, Organizing Committee, Air Commodore Olasunkanmi Abidoye who disclosed said the choice of the theme for the 2022 NAF day celebration “Enhancing Nigerian Air Force Efficiency in Joint Operations for Effective Response to Contemporary National Security Imperatives” is deliberate as it is aimed at emphasizing renewed focus on joint military operations at a critical stage of the Nations History. Air Commodore Abidoye also noted that the Anniversary will feature a Seminar which focal point is to proffer workable strategies aimed at checkmating various security challenges confronting the Nation. Other activities lined up to mark the 2022 NAF Day celebration which will commence from 19th – 21st May, 2022 at the NAF base, Kano includes; ceremonial parade, symbolic flypast, Research and Development (R&D) exhibition and photo gallery display among other. Pre-event activities will be taking place simultaneously at Nigerian Air Force units across the country.
