More SMEs To Benefit From FG Approved N375 Bn Export Expansion Grant –

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council has issued license to additional four Domestic Export Warehouse (DEW) operators, and one Aggregation Centre.

The DEW project is a one-stop facility for the consolidation of export products, packaging, labelling, inspection, certification, fumigation and sealing of containers by customs before evacuation to seaports for shipment.

This directive by the Federal Government to NEPC and other sister agencies is aimed at tackling Export supply chain problems. Speaking at the ceremony for the presentation of approval letters to DEW operators, NEPC Executive Director, Ezra Yakusak, said the project is a game changer in the non-oil supply chain as it will lead to increase in Nigeria’s export.

He noted that, the partners introduced the idea of approving the Aggregation Centres to serve as a feeder for the DEWs.

The NEPC boss further disclosed that the 375 Billion naira approved by the Federal Government as export expansion is available for certified Small and Medium Enterprises to access to boast their businesses. Other stakeholders spoke on the significance of the event.

Highpoint of the event was the presentation of approval letters to the DEW operators by the NEPC’s Executive Director, Ezra Yakusak.
