Military Vows To Nip Resurgence Of Terrorism, Blames Influx Of Foreign Fighters From Sahel Nigeria Military has attributed recent resurgence of terror attacks in the North-East and North-West to the influx of foreign fighters from the Sahel region and their collaborators.
The Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General, Edward Buba disclosed this at the first media engagement for the year 2025 which also marks the end of his tenure as the spokesperson of the operations.
He said despite the temporary tactical setbacks recorded in recent times the military is re-strategizing to completely subdue the terrorists and other criminal elements in the country.
The outgoing Director, Defence Media Operations also recounted gains recorded in diverse operations across the country.
He further expressed what the military is doing to win the war against economic Saboteurs in the Niger Delta region.
High point of the event was the observation of a minute silence in honour of patriots and fallen heroes who paid the supreme price for the unity of Nigeria.
