Katsina State Governor, Radda Set To Tackle Housing Deficit – Mairua

The General Manager of the Katsina State Housing Authority, Engineer Aminu Mairua, has restated Governor Dikko Radda’s administration commitment to invest massively in the provision of affordable Housing units in the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary of Katsina State, Ibrahim Kaula and made available to Channel Network Afrique, CNA.

Speaking after he assumed office last week at the Housing headquarters in Katsina, Engineer Mairua stated that he was posted to the housing authority to ensure and implement the Housing Blueprint of Governor Radda.

“We can’t afford to be lazy here,all hands must be on deck to move the housing sector in Katsina state forward.”

The Radda administration is committed to investing in the provision of housing units that would be sited in all three senatorial zones of the state.

Engr Mairua told staff of the authority that under his leadership, the provision of qualitative and quantitative affordable housing would be his mantra.

“I understand that the Nigeria Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, (NIESV) have a yearly award they give to states Housing corporations thst excell well, and unfortunately Katsina State has never been nominated.

He assured that “With what we have on ground , the housing blueprint, this time around katsina state would be nationally recognised.”
He expressed his determination to reposition the authority for growth and profitability in a sustainable manner.

Engr Mairua also planned to ensure an enabling environment for real estate investors to co exist and partner with the authority so as to undertake massive housing projects across the three senatorial zones.

He however called on staff of the authority to cooperate and work selflessly and diligently so as to meet the target set for the authority by the governor.

He paid glowing tribute to Governor Dikko Radda for finding him suitable to manage the authority.
