JAMB Releases First Batch of 2026 UTME Results, Warns Against Falsification.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of 632,788 candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

In a statement issued by its spokesman, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the board confirmed that the results are now available for viewing.

Candidates have been advised to check their results by sending “UTMERESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number used during registration.

JAMB noted that, for now, candidates can only view their results, as printing is not yet available.

The board also issued a strong warning against result falsification. It cautioned candidates not to manipulate SMS messages from the official platforms to alter or fabricate scores in an attempt to mislead others, including parents.

JAMB described such actions as serious criminal offences and stated that it treats related misconduct with utmost seriousness.

Benjamin said two candidates and one parent are currently in custody for allegedly falsifying results using artificial intelligence and other electronic means.

Offenders, the board said, will face the full weight of the law.

The examination process is ongoing, and JAMB added that more results will be released as they become available.
