This gathering at the defence headquarters is to update the media on the activities of the Nigerian troops in line with the mandate of president Muhammadu Buhari to rid the nation of terrorism, armed banditry among other insecurity vices bedeviling the nation. The onslaughts which took place within the 2nd and Ninth of July 2020 according to the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Major General John Enenche were successful resulting to neutralization of over 75 boko haram/ Islamic state of West Africa province terrorists,armed bandits among others. it was not just about the security challenges in the northern part of the country as the military spokesman also gave a detailed update on operations in the southern region. Enenche while commending the troops credited all of the successes to their efforts and professionalism. He further charged the public to collaborate with security agencies to put a permanent end to insurgency and other related challenges in the country.
